This is a song about discontent. Plain and simple. Being stuck in a place you're not sure you want to be but feeling frustrated because you can't get out or haven't figured out HOW to get out.
What's weird really is that while I started this song a long time ago, our friend (and resident Rockstar) Marty Casey came along and posted a blog about getting out of the office and pursuing one's dreams in music............
But his story begins with him actually living his dream...........and his story has only just begun................
If anyone has read his blog.............you may find that it relates to this song a little.
Here's a piece of feedback from a really cool band - Nova
"Take me away from the rest of my life is a pretty cool lyric.
For me it's powerful and gives me the feeling the singer is in an inescapable trap. Good work." NovA

Take Me Away
My mind bends under the strain
Of an everyday life that's always the same.
Another day, you know what I mean
Another dollar, it ain't how it seems
I can't cope with the pain
No feelings remain
I'm going insane
(Chorus)
I can't take it no more
Turn out all the lights
Come take me away from this everyday life
I can't take it no more
Something ain't right
Please take me away from the rest of my life
Take me away
Take me away
Nine to five seemed like such a good idea at a time
When I was trying to fit in and save a couple dimes
But now I realize that's not the place I want to be
I feel so frustrated
Trapped and jaded
Really hate it
Somebody set me free
(Chorus)
I can't take it no more
Turn out all the lights
Come take me away from this everyday life
I can't take it no more
Something ain't right
Please take me away from the rest of my life
Take me away
Take me away
I stay up late most every night
Thoughts running through my head
About the day just passed and the days that lay ahead
Searching for an answer
I know I'll never find
No resolution
Quick solution
I'm going out of my mind
(Chorus)
I can't take it no more
Turn out all the lights
Come take me away from this everyday life
I can't take it no more
Something ain't right
Please take me away from the rest of my life
Take me away
Take me away
Take me away
